PJ Pierce, a freelance writer in Austin, introduces her newest book, "Let me tell you what I've learned:" Texas Wisewomen Speak, available in bookstores. In this collection of interviews, 25 well-known Texas women, ages 53 to 93, share the wisdom they've acquired through living unconventional lives.

The featured women represent a cross-section of career paths and ethnic groups, as well as all geographic areas of Texas. Their words reveal keen insights into topics such as motherhood, career challenges, being a minority, power, speaking out, and writing your own job description.

TEXAS WISEWOMEN SPEAK

"The creative author PJ Pierce has done us a great favor. She has gleaned from 25 strong women with a variety of experiences the essence of living a full and useful life . . . I urge readers to absorb the words of the wise women in this book. Don't rush through the words. Test them on your own life, You'll be a wiser person when you do."
